how long have you been a photographer?

I graduated from college with a BTEC National Diploma in Design Photography in 1993 and went on training with one of the most prestigious studios in the Midlands. In 1995 I qualified as a recognised professional photographer with the BIPP and MPA and carry the letters LBIPP, LMPA after my name. I began my career as a studio photographer and then weddings now having photography experience of 25 years. I currently shoot 30/40 weddings a year.

what style of photography do you offer?

My main aim is to provide you with a set of images that reflect the story of your day, therefore my style is very much grounded in relaxed documentary wedding photography. However, I do appreciate that family like to have group portraits, and will happily plan and coordinate these with you before and on the day.  I also have the same approach towards my studio photography.

how many photographs do we get?

Typically, at a wedding I will shoot over 1000 photographs. I then spend time editing the best images – removing photos where you are blinking or in mid-sentence! I don’t limit how many photos that I give you but you can expect a minimum anywhere from 300 – 500 photos depending on the length of the day.  Studio photography is dependant on the type of shoot you have.

how long will it take to get our Photographs?

I work hard to make sure that your wedding photographs are ready as soon as possible without compromising on quality. I aim to have your wedding photographs completed and ready in approximately 6 weeks from your wedding date but it really depends where in the season your wedding is.  Quite often that time is much less.  A viewing for studio photography will take place between 7-10 days, orders may take up to 6 weeks as Wall Art is made bespoke for each client.

can I buy/use the high-resolution photographs?

The high-resolution photographs are available to buy from Weddings and Studio Photography, The high-resolution files are available on USB so you can print high quality prints, send photos to your friends and family, share them on Facebook or use them in any other way you can think of.  The reproduction rights are shared with Sally Wood Photography Ltd

what equipment do you use? Do you a have backups?

I use two professional Canon 5D Mark III digital cameras. I always have a backup camera, lenses, flash guns, batteries and memory cards on hand if anything goes wrong.

are you insured?

As a full-time, professional I am fully insured for both public and professional indemnity and have all the paperwork to show.

how far do you travel?

There is no limit at all. I travel all over the UK and would love to travel internationally for destination weddings abroad. For the UK, wedding prices are inclusive of any travel costs within the Midlands. Additional travel costs are quoted for weddings outside of this area.

how do we book you for our Wedding?

Firstly, I do like to meet my clients for a ‘no obligation’ chat to discuss their requirements and learn about their day. This can either be a meeting or a phone call.  This is a good way for me to get to know you and you to know me as well. However this isn’t always possible and many couples have booked me from the work they’ve seen on my site/social media or from recommendation alone. In order to secure your wedding date, you will need to sign a wedding schedule and contract form, and pay a £200 non refundable deposit.  The Balance for your wedding is payable 3 month prior to the date.

how do we book you for a Studio Shoot?

Firstly decide which shoot you would like to have, the voucher for this can be bought on line either for yourselves or as a gift.  Once purchased please contact the studio to make your appointment.
